The Magaret Mitchell desk and her autograph

MARGARET MITCHELLPROFILE, THE AUTHOR OF GONE WITH THE WIND

The vintage famous Book writer Margaret Mitchell only write one book about her own private story, and after
was being the based on Film with the same name ,staring by Clark Gable and Jean Harlow (as Scarlet O Hara), this book became popular. One month ago I have found the first printing hardcover book of this story, printing by the Macmillan Company New York, but in this hardcover book no picture illustrations, that is why I am starting to seeking the related collections , and I onlyhave one The Special Coca Cola trade Card series 4 1995 look at the picture below front and back.
a.In the Front

b.In the back we can read the Coca Cola propaganda like this :

Series 4 The Coca Colla Collections
CLARK GABLE 7 JEAN HARLOW
This card feautures a photograp of famous Hollywood celebrities Clark Gable and Jean Harlow on a movie set in 1932.While taking a break from filming a movie, for refresment they relax and enjoy a glass of ice-cold Coca-Cola.During this era, these two stars the top box-office attractions in America.
THE GONE WITH THE WIND CIGARET TRADE CARD

To know more informations about this book and film, I read the book and write some interesting story
PART ONE
Chapter I

Scarlet O Hara was not beautiful, b ut men seldom realized it when caught by her charm as the Tarleton twins were. In her face were too sharply blended the delicate feautures of her mother. a Coast aristocrat of French descent and the heavy ones of her florid Irish father,But it was an arresting face, pointed of chin, square of jaw. Her eyes were pale green without a touch of hazel, starred with bistly black lashes and slightly tilted at the end.Above them, her thick black brows slantes upward, cutting a startling oblique line in her magnolia-white skin-that skin so prized by Southren women and so carefully guarded with bonnets, veils and mittens against hot Georgia sun.

I.DR IWANS NOTES
During my younger age , I have many friends with the Italian priest in Padang, they gave me many Italian stamps and some of the Rare Republic Italian stamps will installed due to Jessica aksing for show at his Italian Exhibitin in Jakarta Indonesia. The rare stamps have not only from the priest but also found at Jakarta Phillatelic center circa1990- 2000.firdt in Cikini post office and later in Ex Pasar Baru central post office now became the phillatelic museum.msny rare postal history not beutiful grapic design but some very best design especially related to the stamp centenary, the famous man
,sport, interpol, radio television and the visit of Italian president to Brazil and peru, be careful many beutiful graphic stamps issued after 1970 very common and nonvaluable stamps because issued more than 100.000.000 items because that time too many speculatio on stamps, before 1970 especially thew 55 cent stamps always in blue color very limited editions because not many used and the economic situation after the WW II which made economic crisis no one speculations or invest in stamps like this day the same situation who want to invest in stamps no money enough to buy one series up than 10 US$, if the colectors have enough money I suggest to invent the high nominal value stamps on postally used cover as 10 pound,50 dollars,50 euro,1000 yen etc on postally used cover twnety years later when the economic situation became good this investation will be very rare and high value, like I done in 1979-1980,when German economic crisis the German and Switzerland stamps very cheapest, and now the value became up more than 20 times.
This my tips for the beginner collectors, please clic my blog every weeks and you will seen the new informations.
Thank You Yessica for your invitation for Cyber Show, I hope the collectors give pardon because I cannot show at the exhibitions, if the London Scool od Public Realtions send the invitation and recomandation about Yessica Italian exhibitions, I will send my volunteer photographer Indra Sanusi to cantanc and some of the best stamps will be taken the special Photo by professional phoitograper Mr Indra for show, because I cannot show the original stamp due to security and protect the condition of stamp from tropical exposure.

Then Republic of Afghanistan celebrated its third year amid political cakm. As 1976 ended, the long-awaited Constitution was still awaited, and the country continued to be ruled by presidential decree. Politically cpmscious elements showed remarkable apathy and no overt resistance to the autoritarian regime of President Mohammed Daud,Rumors of underground disaffection remained. Daud disarmed his potonsial opponent by purduing moderate and centries policies. Early speculation that he was astalking horse for pro communist elements disappeaered.

An attempt coup by junior army officers-the first such action in 14 years of military rule-was thwarted. But Chinese-supported Communist and a variety of ethnic rebels expanded thair revolt again the Rangoon (now yangoon) government.
(2)The conspiraty to unseat President Ne Win and his chiel lieutenants, heir apparent Gen.San Yu and inteligence chief Col. Tin Oo was led by Capt. Ohn Kyaw Myint. Announcing discovery of the plot, the president blamed a ‘worship of personality’ cult, areference to another Tin Oo, a popular general who was removed as defense minister earlier in the Year, but there was no evidence og Gen Tin Oos involvement in the coup attempt, and he was not arrest.
Discontent with the regime also was reflected in March 1976 student demonstrations, which caused the government to close the cuntrys universities for the fourth time in two years. Three grenade throwing incident in Rangoon, the capital, in August were blamed on right-wing opposition element.

III. The C Countries
1. Cambodia (Khmer)
(1)Cambodians Communist rules established new instruments og government and generally conso-lidated of government and generally consolidated their political control over the country in 1976, their first year in power. Economically, hwever, they cntinued t have serious problem. A persisting food shortage resulted in widespread chronic malnutrition and starvation and tens of thousands of Cambodians died.
(2) Cambodia was said to be in a state of total mobilization by the few foreigners allowed to visit the country. refugees who crossed over into Thailand confirmed this description. A large-scale movement of population was reported in the early month of 1976 as it had been in the wake of the Communists April 17975 take-over. The capital city of Phom Phen , which frmely had 21/2 million inhabitants, reprtelly had dropped to 100.000 resident by the end of 1976.
Refugee charged that 500.000 to 1.000.000 persons have lost their lives since April 1975. This was said to be the result of starvation, forced labor, reprisal execution of middle class and other sympathizers of the previus Lon nol administratin; and the outright
abondonment of many old, ill, and crippled persons.
(2) The Communist leadership kept tight military control over the cuntry. But significant progress apparently was registered in the establisment of new governing institution and in the distribution of power among the chief ruling figires. A new constitution, approved by a 1000 member nationaql congress in December 1975,went in effect on January 5. The cuntry was renamed ‘Democratic Cambodia’ and a new national anthem and flag were adpted.
Elections were held n March 20-the first in any of the three Indchinese communist countries since take over in 1975- fr a 250-delegate Peples representative Assembly. There were 515 candidates fr the 150 seats for farmers, 50 for soldiers, and 50 for Workers .
A reported 98% of the 3.6 millions eligible voters participated. Among those gaining seats were Chief of State Prince Norodom Sihanouk and his chief Lieutenant ,Premier Penn Nouth.
Sihanuk and Nouth resigned their gvernment positions in April, when the Peples Representative assembly, which will meet only once a year, held its first session. Khieu Samphan believed by many to be Cambodias top CXommunist, became the cuntrys new chief of state as its first president. Tol saut , a previusly obscure leader of rubber platation workers, succeeded Nouth as premier.
However, who really ryled Cambodia was still nt clear. Saut was subsequently replaced as Prenier, for reasons of health, by Muon Chea, chairman of the standing comittee of the Peples Reprsentative Assembly (which acts on behalf of the Assembly between its annualsession). refugee reprtd, meanwhile, indicated the saloth Sar,secretary general of the cambodian Communist party, might be the cuntrys real leader, ruling thrugh an unpublicized fiveman committee.

(1)ROC info circa1976
Political stability continued to prevail Taiwan, and the government was becoming less remote to the people. It maintained adequate economic growth, despite slow world economic recovery. The Nationalist showed uneasiness over relations with the USA as the American 00presidential election threw near. They were afraid that the US might normalize relations with Peking and sever its ties with Taiwan. Throughout the year Taipeh made extensive efforts to promote trade with countries with which it had no diplomatic relations.Under premier Ciang Ching-kuo the government was far less remote than before, the premier frequently went out to meet people in an infromal way, making a point of talking to the peasant and the country folks. AS partial resuffle of the cabinet was ordered on June 9, Chang Feng-shu,former mayor of Taipei, was named minister of the interior; Walter H.Fei,former secretary general of the executive Yuan, was appointed minister of finance; Wang Tao-yuan ,former vice minister of justice, was promoted to be minister of justice;and Lin Chin-seng,fromer interior minister, became minister of communications.

1.LAOS Laos first year as a ‘democratic republic’ was tough with severe fpood shortages causing growing disilluionment with the new Communist regime. Major aid from the governmens main friends-the soviet Union,Vietnam and to a lesser extent China-was necessery to head off starvation and to prevent the economy from collapsing.Politically, the countrys leadership wasnot seriously challaged. The ‘Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos’ which came into being with KIng Savang Vattanas abdiction in December 1975, turned out to be a fairly mild revolutionary regime in its first 12 months. No execution of former leaders were reported, and prince Souvana Phouma (premier in a coalation government until late 1975) was permitted to live in modestly comfortable retirement. Many onetime politician, bureucrats and army officers, however, even taken off to a political re-education center at Viengsay, the former headquaters of the once insurgent Pathet Lao. Top figure in the young regime was Kaysome Phoumvihan, who held both the prime menistership and the stratwegic post of secretary-general of the rulling Lao Peoples Revolutionary Party. The premier, hovever, is half-Vietnamese and is reportedly regarded as too pro-Hanoi. Leaflets was circulated in Vientien critizing him for his partially toward Vietnam-which still had 30.000 troops in Laos. Menister of Interior Somsume Kamphithoune, rarely seen and not widely known personally, was probably the second most radical. He had control of the national police. Prince Souphanouvong ,titular head of the Pathet Lao in the insurgency years and half-brother of Souvana Phouma, as president of the republic succeeded to the King’s role as chief of state, but his political importance was limited. The governments control did not extend throughout the countryside.Skirmished with small opposition bands continued but dismished steadily in importance. 2. BHUTAN INFORMATION BOOK 1947
(INDIA ALMANAC 1947)
(1) BHUTAN AREA 18.00 sq mile, is an independenent Himalayan state, under the prtectorate in respect of foreign relations, of His Majestys Gvernment, possessing s fretile soil and temperate climate. The population ,computed to number about 300.000, are sturdy folk, of Tibetan affinities, in recent times there has been a considerable Nepalese immigration in the foot-hill region.
Though politically independent of Tibet. Bhutan is succeptible to Tibetan influence for the Bhutanese share the religion and culture of Tibet, and look to the Dalai lama as their spiritual head. In former times,China exchanged presents with Bhutan , but did not established effective suzerainity.
(2) For some 250 miles ,Bhutan dominated a tract of Land, singulary rich and fertile ,situated partly in Bengal and partly in Assam, knwn as the Eighteenth Duars( Duar being a dr or pass). This area and what is now the Stae of Cooch Behar formed the traditional happy hunting-ground of Bhutanese free-boters.
(3) The History of Bhutan
(a)1774
indeed it was the fOrcible abduction of the Cooch Behar Raja and his brother that led indirectly to the first intercuse between ,John Company’ and Bhutan. This Bhutanese aggresion was followed by a small successful expeditin under a COmpany Officer. This led then Tashi Lama (wh was also Regent of Tibet) to address a friendly letter to Warren Hastings, inter-ceding on behalf of the erring Bhutanese.
Warren Hastings immediately respnded by deputing Bogles ‘Good-Will Mission’. Bogle travelled via Bhutan and en route establish cordial relation there in 1774.

(b) 1792
The Bogle travelled continiue till 1792. in this year Nepal invaded Tibet, the Chinese suspected that the Bengal authrities had engineered this invasin, and by their influence induced the Bhutanese to shut the door.

(c)1825
The suspicion and hostility thus engendered was accentuated, when the Company extending its influence to Assam, on the expulsion of the Burmese in this year 1825, became heir to the uneasy relatin existing between the Assamese and Bhutan; cnditin prevailed comparable with thse in the Derajat on the Waziristan border at their worst.

(d)1837-1864
Thirty cases of plundering occured and at least 25 Indians were unknwn to have been carried ff into slavery. Meanwhile 50 outrages were committed in Coch Behar territry (ne invlving ver RS 20.000 wrth prpertys) and 60 residents of the state were Kidnapping

(e) 1857
Indian Mutiny of 1857 served to post-pone settlement.

(f)1863
The envoy (Mr E.Eden) sent in 1863, charged with proposals of a concilliatry charactor, but instructed to demand the return of all captives and plundered property and security for the future peace of the Frontier was insulted in open Darbar and put under duress.

(g)1864-1910
The Bhutan war of 1864 led to the conclussion of the Treaty of Sinchula in January 1886, Bhutan cede in perpetuity the whle f the 18 Duars and in return recieved a subsidy f RS 50.000 a year.
Since that date realtin with Bhutan have been exellent, and the bonds between Bhutan and India grown closer.

(h)1907
In 1907 the leading chief of Bhutan, Tongsa Pealop Ugen Wangchuk was elected by the unanimous votes of Bhutan Chief s and a number of monks as hereditary Emperor of Bhutan
Bhutan vintage Pictures
